*A replacement post for 17 Dec 2013
My power adapter was conked out on the day. Therefore I borrowed company's netbook temporarily.
Actually one of my colleague is damn knowledgeable. I only knew the voltage rating is the key of choosing power adapter for notebook. Current rating can be higher to power up the notebook. Previously I thought of over current may burn off the notebook. In fact, low current can't power up the machine.
When I reached home, I tried to troubleshoot on the adapter and found out the cause of failure was the power cord but not the adapter itself. The malfunction power cord was burnt and generated smoke. Luckily I managed cut off the power supply instantly.
Previously I thought of claiming the adapter as it was still less than one year when I bought from the online store. As promised by the store, I only needed to bear the postage fee to send the adapter to them. Luckily I did troubleshoot carefully or else I will encounter lost on the postage because power cord was not under warranty anymore.
