This was my first time to request information at a travel and tour agency. We went to the agency which is located in a shopping mall near to my house.
In the shop, there were a lot of information of ground arrangement packages pasted on the wall. We proceeded to the customer service counter to ask for information. There was only one salesgirl over there. Before us, a customer was asking for the print out of ground arrangement packages. Therefore, we were asking for the same thing. I requested for the ground arrangement packages information for Cambodia (Phnom Penh), Thailand (Chiangmai) and Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh). The print out were complete with itinerary, price and etc...... The salesgirl was helping me to highlight all the needed cost for the trip, like ground arrangement fee, agent fee and tour guide/driver tipping. I was asking for procedures for this kind of arrangement. The salesgirl told me that I can buy air ticket by myself before booking for the ground arrangement packages as they were available all the time. Additional charges incurred by travel agency if they help to book air ticket.
After surveying on Airasia ticket, we planned to go Ho Chi Minh as the tickets were considerably cheap if compare to Chiangmai during Chinese New Year. Phnom Penh was not being considered as the ground arrangement was blocked out during Chinese New Year. Later, I told my sister about our survey and plan for the Ho Chi Minh trip. She got mad as we did not plan the trip in her convenience. She is such a complication woman.
