Complaint Email

*A replacement post for yesterday

Yesterday I wrote a complaint email to the developer's maintenance section.

Dear Sir/Mdm,

I am one of the property owner of XXXXXX. As mentioned in the subject, I want to make a complaint about the car porch concrete imprint.

I would like to find out what can be done about the situation below.

Since the handover of property at last year, I found out that there were surface cracking and footprints at the car porch concrete imprint. Consequently, I made a complaint about this matter to XXXXXX maintenance section.

After the complaint was made, XXXXXX maintenance section did arrange for the repairing on that defective car porch. Unfortunately, the repairing result is not satisfactory. This is due to the defective portion was covered with the sealer which is different colour from the original's. It caused two significant difference of colour between the repaired portion and the overall car porch. Seriously, the colour is too dark, glossy and disgusting. It is totally different from the original or show house conrete imprint's colour which is matt and pleasant. Besides, the footprints were not repaired with professionalism as they were just simply covered with cement/material which spoil the beauty of the concrete imprint.

I noticed that there are a few houses in that areas also encounter the same problem as mine. However, the whole area of car porch concrete imprint was repaired and covered with the sealer which is dark and glossy. I strongly disagree to the sealing of concrete imprint with that particular dark and glossy sealer to my car porch. It is not only looks unpleasant but the risk of flaky/peeling in future. As it was suspected that if too much colour pigment has been added to the imprinted concrete sealer resulting in the sealer being unable to penetrate the concrete slab properly.

Now, my dilemma is the concrete imprint was repaired but not satisfactory as the repaired portion's colour is different from the overall car porch area and posing the risk of peeling/flaky. I strongly need your attention on this matter and hope for your fast action and advise on how this matter can be resolved.
