Set Up Desktop PC

I am trying to set up an old desktop pc which is given from my sister. However, it fails to display on the TV when I use it as a monitor screen. Perhaps this is due to the driver problem.

Therefore, I try to use my laptop LCD screen to display the CPU operating system. However, it still fails. I try for a software to perform the task but it doesn't work.

I spend for quite some times to reinstall the drivers for graphic card and wireless adapter on my own desktop pc as there is freezing issue all the while. Unfortunately, the problem is still remained. Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue?
